persistant rashMy 11 month old son has had a rash on his back for more than 4 weeks now. Started out as small pimple like dots on lower back afew on the upper back and on stomach. Was told that it was an exanthem but got worse. More bumps, redder, itchier lost the pimple like look but extremely red especially on the lower back. Went back to doctor was given triamcinalone, after a week not any better. Went back to doctor referred to derm. he sited contact dermatitis given cloderm and instructions on keeping skin moist. Another week goes by some areas are getting better but still spreading to under arms and neck. Developed petechiae under arms and on back. Pediatrician ran cbc and platelet count and ordered treatment for scabies. we did that and next morning not as red thought that that was it but still present. We are a family of 5 and nobody else has any problems. I had scabies when i was younger and should have developed something by now. Little red dots are starting to appear on stomach again, he is getting more fussy with the rash seems to itch all the time and now he is scratching his head. Can you help?
