Hello to anyone that may come across this , i would like to chat to someone in the same situation as myself , and see if we could try give eachother some advice , thank you for reading this

I'm a 32 yr old African-American woman and I have the disease. I started getting the boils when I was about 9. I had my sweatglands removed from under my arms when I was 26 thankfully I don't get them there anymore but I get them in my groin area, under my breasts, and outside of where they did the surgery.

I am 30y/o BF experienced this for years, and recently been advised to et informtion on it not Dx now, my breakout time is timely days before my periods, I was informed that a dermatologist is appropriate approach I'm wanting to know if pain is part of the procedure,there is differnce between associated disomfort, and pain, and pain that is worth the discomfort. Is this a procedure if I had to have again would I do it again

My procedure could have been a lot less painful but that was my own fault. I went to the suregeon that my regular doctor referred me to instead of the one the dermatologist recommended. I think my case may have been a lot worse than yours. I started having problems when I was 9 or 10 and from the time I was 22 up until 26 I may have had one week at the most where I didn't have any flare-ups at all. It was so bad I could only raise my right are half-way because I had open wounds from the disease. They removed the sweatglands from both arms I was in the hospital for a few days and went home. I had a home health nurse every day and when they had to clean the wounds and it was painful with the pain medicine.I went through this everyday for about 3 weeks until they did the graft. When they do the graft they put something on the graft site called red scarlet it looks like a gauze with red medicine on it and it sticks to your leg or wherever that take the skin from until it heels and it took mine about 6 weeks. I had to sleep on my back with 2 big pillow type things under my arms that were attached to each other with velcro. After it was all said and done the pain I experienced then was worth it. I also had a morphine pump while I was in the hospital but they didn't have the iv in right so that was more pain that I was in the could've been avoided. If it gets that bad for me again I would definitely do it again but as I said earlier my case may be more severe than yours and I had an a**hole of a doctor. your case is more sever than mine and I'm glad that you got it under control and I hate you had to experience so much pain, I read about topical oinentment, oral medications, draining and the surgery part I got a little from that, I guess my next step is to contact a dermatologist, it is such a sensitive and private area inner thighs, because of the disease did it make the area darker?
