frequent urination

Post a new topicby anonymous11223345 on Fri Nov 09, 2007 6:55 am

i am suffering from frequent urination problem from 5-6 years (presently 22 years old, from india) .i continually feel an urge to urinate but not urinating in large amount. I feel that i am fully emptying my bladder each time. In the years of the adolescence, i used to squeeze my genitals between my legs, masturbating but not letting the seman out repeatedly . I think that these abnormal activities must have caused this condition for me.Urine test showed no infection.I didnt have any urinary problems in the childhood .Otherwise, i am healthy and play sports as well.
Please guide me as to how i can overcome my condition and become normal again.
thanks in advance

hi

I think I have the same thing as you do. it is just frequent urination and sometimes its harder (more concentration needed) to get it out but there is no pain. How frequently do you go? Sometime mine is so bad that I go every 10-15 mins. but it was not that bad when I was 22. I am now 27. A couple of years ago I was told it was non bacterial prostatitis and that there was no cure. I have now gone to a new urologist now and will undergo new tests in the next few months. He tells me that it is not prostatitis and that it maybe an overactive bladder. I will keep you posted on the results if you interested

sure branimir, plz keep me updated, i would be thankful because i think my condition matches non-bacterial prostatitis. i go to void abt 10-12 times daily. And yeah, sometimes even in intervals of 10-15 minutes, so situation is quite bad.

Hi,

I am sorry this reply has taken so long. I have just finished all the tests I had to do a week ago. The doctor I am seeing now has agreed with my previous doctor saying that I have non bacterial prostatitis (inflamed prostate). This doctor has now given me two types of medication (proscar and flomax) but I have been taking them for 2 days and my testicals hurt so now I don't know if I will continue using them. I also a do not have any faith in pills that can help anymore as I have already tried so many. Also, even if some medication will work that has barely been approved. At what cost will it help. I have never seen so many warnings and side effects on a box of pills. So, unfortunately I have had no luck at all.

How have your symptoms been? Have you found any help or diagnosed your problem.

HI,

Thanks For replying.
I researched more about my possible condition , and based on my symptoms i came to conclusion that i am having Chronic non-bacterial prostatitis. (frequent urge to urinate Upto 10-15 times A day in small amounts, pain in lower back sometimes, general weakness, chill due to the chronic prevailing condition.)
I ordered the below medication for 3 months. Sadly, will take 10 more days to ship to india :

Another medication that i came across was Prostant . its a chinese made medicine supposed to treat non-bacterial prostatitis successfully. will try it out if Mitamins doesnt work.
Keep in Touch
i can be contacted on following email id: [moderator note: e-mail address has been removed] . Can come on gtalk.
All the best for getting well soon. Keep the fighting spirit going.

Hi,

Well, at least now you know what you have and you can go from there. I have tried many similar pills and teas to mitimins. That market is actually a fairly large one. Unfortunately, none of them have worked for me. But you never know what could work for you. I wish you the best of luck with it. I hope it works for you.

Let me know how it works for you here or my email is [moderator note: e-mail address has been removed]

I talked to my dr yesterday and I will stop with proscar and continue with flomax so if I see it's helping I will let you know.

Thanks
