I am 68 years old. One day suddenly itchy red blotches apped on palms of hs soles of feet. It n spread to top of my hs upper arms upper back. All blood tests have proved normal or negative. Doctor suspected it is Eryma Multime. I have no history of having herpes simplex virus. One strange phenomenon I like to mention is I had a benign joint pain on middle finger of my left h about a year occurred mostly in morning when I wake up. Once rash apped, joint pain disapped entirely. Could se be related?

Interesting about the joint pain. You don't have to have herpes simplex to get erythema multiforme. It is the most common cause, but other causes can be linked to it, such as medications.
