New Style Guide for People With Psoriasis

October 15, 2010

Fashion consultant Tim Gunn, the star of television's Project Runway, is also an active participant in the psoriasis awareness and support program Addressing Psoriasis. One of the most exciting parts of the program is the annual contest, where five winners with psoriasis are selected for an all-expense-paid trip to New York City for a personal fashion consultation with Gunn. This year, the program is also offering a brand new style guide.

"It's amazing what confidence can do for your personal sense of style—I truly believe it's our most important accessory," said Gunn on the program's website. "I was thrilled to work with the 2010 contest winners to address the specific fashion challenges each faces because of psoriasis, and to help them embrace their own sense of fashion."

The program also features a guide to everyday style for people with psoriasis, "Psophisticated Style," with tips on fabric choices, accessories, seasonal wear and laundering for fashion-forward comfort.

Addressing Psoriasis is sponsored by Amgen and Pfizer with participation from groups like the American Academy of Dermatology, the National Psoriasis Foundation and Psoriasis Cure Now.
